About Us:


We are Kraftshala. We are an online skilling institution committed to playing the long game of building a transformative educational experience for the masses. We call this Scaling with Soul.


Scaling with Soul, to us, means we always prioritise student outcomes specifically our Placement Rate (percentage of students placed)- over other metrics, such as number of enrolments or company valuation in the coming year.


This is, of course, easier said than done. There are painful choices to be made at every stage, from admissions to training to placements, that wouldnt have been needed were we willing to give up on either of high quality or scale.


But in the long run, we believe that our obsession over these student outcomes will earn Kraftshala the trust of Indian students, their families, recruiters and the broader ecosystem.


Thats why we make each of our Placement Reports public, capturing how many students are placed in each batch, in what companies, at what salaries etc.


We dont need to. None of our competitors do (though wed be happy to be proven wrong and have more educators join us!). Simply put, we have tasted the benefits of an education model grounded in high quality paired with the transparency of student outcomes and now cannot imagine doing it any other way.


We are not the largest in terms of enrollments. Nowhere close, actually. Not yet.


However, we are proud to be one of the largest, if not the largest already, in terms of actual, verifiable placements.


And in terms of Placement Rate, the metric that matters most to us, we are the absolute best in edtech. In the last 4 years, we have placed more than 2000+ students with a Placement Rate of 94% (and improving).

Content Creator - Role Description


What you will be doing:


Content Creation (80% of your time):


Your primary goal is to create content for Kraftshala, grow the brand on social, and drive leads and enrollments.


  • Social Media and Content Strategy: Develop comprehensive social media and content strategies aligned with business goals; Identify key growth opportunities and new channels to expand our brand's online presence.
  • Organic Content Creation: Create and curate engaging and relevant content for our social media platforms, including posts, images, videos (reels etc), and scripts for Brand Ads
  • Scripting: Writing the scripts that would stop the thumb, drive awareness and consideration for the brand. A lot of this work would be finding interesting things about how the world works and creating interesting scripts. Or it could be content that brings out what our students do inside the program in an eye-catching way.
  • Shooting: You would be the on-camera talent and would have full responsibility to set up the shoot in a way most conducive to our goals.
  • Editing: You would be responsible for the complete edit plans: the music, the tone, the images, etc. and of course being able to edit yourself is a big added plus.
  • Collaboration and Innovation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of messaging and branding across all channels. Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to propose innovative ideas for content creation and distribution.

Training (~20% of your time):


All members of the Kraftshala marketing team (including the co-founders) spend a substantial portion of their time in training emerging talent. Your role will also have 20% time allotted to this.


Since you’d be the in-house expert in content creation, you would add value to students by helping them get better at generating content. It would help your Marketing KPIs too since it will drive UGC on social media.


Must Haves:


  • 0-3 years of experience in social media content creation. Demonstrated capability to strategise, script, shoot and drive visibility for content. (We’re not fussed about the exact years of experience, as that’s just a proxy for your skill level.)
  • Dialed into popular culture
  • Excellent communication skills - Spoken and written.
  • Passion for helping people learn, grow and fulfill their potential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills- ability to build relationships, instill confidence, uplift self-esteem and bring positivity, encouragement and enthusiasm to spaces being held with students.
  • A knack of getting things done within deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership and drive results independently.
  • Proficiency of generating great output using MS Office (Excel, Word, and Powerpoint), Google tools, Image and Video Editing tools, and enthusiasm, comfort and agility with learning other online AI tools and technologies that aid content creation.

Good to Haves:


  • Experience of using Editing tools: Premier Pro, Final Cut Pro, InShot, etc.
  • A working experience of text to image and text to video AI tools

Selection Process:


As a small team, we must get to know each other before taking the leap. We want to ensure you succeed in your role within our team. Each conversation with us will last about 30-60 minutes. Typically the whole process takes between 7 - 15 business days depending on your and our schedules.

  • Setting Expectations: This will be a call to understand your profile briefly and share the details of the selection process.
  • Technical conversation 1: This will be a conversation with our Co-Founder wherein you can expect to be evaluated on the competencies needed for the job (mentioned above).
  • Technical Exercise (if required): This is a specific assessment designed to evaluate your fit for this role
  • Technical conversation 2 (if required): This will be a detailed assessment review conversation to go over your submission for the technical exercise along with other competencies required for the role.
  • Culture fit conversation: A conversation with our CEO to ensure that there is a fit with the Kraftshala Kode.
  • Extending an offer: If all goes well, we will extend an offer that will mention the relevant details.
