Deputy Manager - QA/QC

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement quality control plans, procedures, and inspection checklists for high-rise building construction projects.
• Ensure compliance with construction standards, codes, and project specifications.
• Conduct inspections and tests of materials, structural components, and workmanship to identify non-conformities and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with project teams, consultants, and contractors to address quality-related issues.
• Maintain documentation of inspection reports, test results, and quality control records.
• Ensure adherence to safety and environmental regulations.
• Review and approve material submittals and method statements in accordance with project requirements.
• Conduct site audits and recommend improvements to enhance construction quality.
• Assist in training site personnel on quality control procedures and best practices.
• Report any deviations from the project specifications to the QA/QC Manager and suggest corrective measures.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum ten years of experience in QA/QC roles within the high-rise building construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ASTM, ACI, BS Codes).
• Proficiency in quality control methodologies, materials testing, and inspection techniques.
• Familiarity with construction project management tools and documentation.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Certifications in QA/QC (e.g., ISO Auditor, ASNT, NDT Level II) are an added advantage.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in large-scale residential, commercial, or mixed-use high-rise projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and construction-related software.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and risk assessment in construction.
