Job Description

Job Title: Business Manager (MBA in Finance)

Job Summary:

As a Business Manager with an MBA in Finance, you will lead business operations, manage financial performance, and provide strategic direction to ensure financial growth and business success. You will work closely with senior management to implement business strategies, oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and optimize the organizations financial resources for maximum efficiency and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Planning & Decision-Making:
    • Develop and execute business strategies, objectives, and plans aligned with the companys goals.
    • Provide financial insights and recommendations for strategic decisions that impact revenue, cost management, and growth.
    • Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities and risks for business expansion.
  2. Financial Management:
    • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to ensure alignment with business goals.
    • Manage financial resources, ensuring effective allocation and utilization to maximize profitability.
    • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
  3. Operational Oversight:
    • Supervise day-to-day operations, ensuring processes are efficient, cost-effective, and in compliance with regulations.
    • Identify areas for operational improvement and implement process changes that optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
  4. Team Leadership & Collaboration:
    • Lead and mentor cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
    • Coordinate with other departments such as marketing, sales, and operations to ensure alignment with business objectives.
    • Provide leadership on financial matters, offering advice and direction to managers in different departments.
  5. Risk Management:
    • Analyze financial risks and create mitigation strategies to protect the organization’s assets.
    • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and industry standards.
    • Establish internal controls to safeguard business operations.
  6. Client/Stakeholder Relations:
    • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, investors, and vendors.
    • Present financial reports and business performance updates to senior leadership or board members.
  7. Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
    • Monitor key financial metrics and KPIs to assess business performance.
    • Prepare detailed reports on financial performance, profitability, and growth for senior leadership review.
  8. Cost Management & Efficiency:
    • Conduct cost-benefit analyses to identify cost-saving opportunities across business functions.
    • Oversee cost control initiatives and optimize expenditure without compromising on quality or business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • MBA in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in business management, financial analysis, or a similar role, with a proven track record of leadership and business performance.
    • Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
    • Strong understanding of financial modeling, business strategy, and risk management.
  • Skills:
    • Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
    • Advanced knowledge of financial principles, accounting, and business analysis.
    • Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and MS Excel.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial data in a clear, concise manner.
