The Project Manager, Commercial Operations will play a critical role in driving cross-functional initiatives that enhance our CRM and CPQ capabilities, improve interfaces between marketing, sales, and ERP systems, and streamline the creation and delivery of sales playbooks. This individual will be responsible for managing projects end-to-end, from initial scoping to final delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder needs. The ideal candidate is not only a skilled project manager but also a hands-on contributor who can create process documentation, update dashboards, and collaborate closely with sales leaders to maintain accurate forecasts and budgets.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management: Lead and manage multiple Commercial Operations projects simultaneously, including CRM enhancements, interface improvements between marketing, sales, and ERP systems, and the development and enablement related to sales playbooks. Coordinate work between Sales leadership and operations analysts and developers.
Process Documentation: Develop and maintain detailed documentation for new processes, including workflows, user guides, and training materials, ensuring clarity and consistency across the organization.
Data Analysis Dashboard Updates: Coordinate with analysts and sales personnel to do regular cleanup of opportunity and leads data to provide actionable insights; regularly update and refine dashboards to reflect the most current data and metrics.
Forecasting Budgeting: Assist in managing periodic updates to revenue forecasts and budgets, coordinating inputs from sales leaders and other key stakeholders.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams across marketing, sales, finance, and IT to ensure seamless integration of systems and processes, fostering alignment and improving operational efficiency.
Sales Playbook Development: Oversee the creation, distribution, and ongoing refinement of sales playbooks, ensuring they are aligned with best practices and tailored to the needs of the sales team.
Stakeholder Communication: Point of contact for project updates, ensuring all stakeholders are informed of progress, potential risks, and changes in scope or timeline.
Process Improvement: Analyze sales processes and identify areas for improvement. Assist in the development and implementation of commercial operations processes for budgeting and forecasting.
Qualifications:
Experience: 5-8 years of experience in project management within Commercial Operations, sales operations, or a related field. Experience in managing CRM systems and interfacing with ERP platforms is highly desirable.
Technical Skills: Proficient in CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce), ERP systems, and project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project). Strong Excel skills for data analysis and budget management. Exposure to Power BI or other BI tools is a definite plus.
Project Management: Proven track record of leading and successfully delivering complex projects on time and within scope. PMP or similar certification is a plus.
Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze data, identify trends, and provide insights that drive decision-making. Experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is an advantage.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment, building strong relationships with peers and leaders across various departments.
