Italian Chef

• Preparation & Cooking:
  
• Prepare and execute a wide range of authentic Italian dishes, including handmade pastas, sauces, risottos, and regional specialties.
• Ensure all dishes meet the restaurants quality and presentation standards.
• Kitchen Station Management:
  
• Oversee your designated Italian cuisine station, ensuring proper organization, timely service, and maintenance of high standards.
• Monitor ingredient quality and inventory levels, ensuring freshness and authenticity.
• Collaboration & Innovation:
  
• Work alongside the head chef and sous chefs to develop new recipes and menu enhancements while staying true to Italian culinary traditions.
• Share creative ideas and participate in menu planning sessions.
• Training & Supervision:
  
• Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff in Italian cooking techniques.
• Ensure that all team members adhere to proper cooking methods and hygiene practices.
• Food Safety & Hygiene:
  
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Implement and enforce strict hygiene practices throughout your station.
• Time Management:
  
• Prioritize and manage tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment to ensure timely and efficient service, especially during peak hours.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Experience:
  
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a high-volume kitchen, with a strong focus on Italian cuisine.
• Proven expertise in traditional Italian cooking techniques such as pasta making, sauce preparation, and wood-fired cooking is highly desirable.
• Education:
  
• Culinary degree or equivalent professional training is preferred.
• Technical Skills:
  
• Deep knowledge of Italian ingredients and culinary methods.
• Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques.
