Job Description
Assistant Accountant
Job Summary:
The Assistant Accountant is responsible for accounting of all expenses and income in accordance with the Accounting principles/procedures of the University alongwith any other tasks assigned by the Reporting Manager/HO Accounts and to keep accurate records of all financial transactions and should be complian with relevant prevalent tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Vendor & Faculty payments.
- Reimbursement of expenses incurred by employees as per Approved Byelaws/Regulations.
- Petty cash disbursement and recording in accounts
- Collecting salary and attendance data in coordination with HR team and processing them.
- Collecting investment proofs (proposed and actual tax declaration).
Qualifications:
Master s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with 5-7 years of proven experience in accounting or a similar role. They should be familiar with Oracle and S4HANA financial systems and have a strong understanding of TDS, PF, and PT regulations. Proficiency in using online banking platforms is essential, along with excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong communication and coordination abilities are crucial, as is the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality.
