Playwright Automation Engineer

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright for web application testing.
• Design and implement robust, scalable, and maintainable automation frameworks.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA teams to identify test scenarios and edge cases.
• Integrate automation tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
• Conduct cross-browser and cross-platform testing to ensure application compatibility.
• Implement API testing using Playwright and integrate with backend services.
• Identify, report, and track bugs using tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, or Bugzilla.
• Develop and maintain test data and mock services for testing scenarios.
• Optimize test execution performance and reliability.
• Provide detailed test reports and insights to stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

✅ Programming Languages: JavaScript/TypeScript (primary), Python (optional)
✅ Automation Frameworks: Playwright, Selenium (optional)
✅ Testing Types: Functional, Integration, UI, Regression, Performance, API testing
✅ CI/CD Tools: GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, CircleCI
✅ Version Control: Git (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket)
✅ Test Reporting & Bug Tracking: JIRA, TestRail, Azure DevOps
✅ Cloud Platforms (Optional): AWS, Azure, GCP
✅ Containerization (Optional): Docker
