Senior Officer/Officer (Legal)

Bachelors Degree in Law from a nationally or internationally reputed Institution with minimum 15 years/10 years of work experience in handling litigation before different Judicial/ Quasi-Judicial Forums, Industrial/ Labour law matters, Arbitration and Conciliation matters, Drafting & vetting various legal documents including agreements and shall have sound knowledge of regulatory practices followed by Government of India and other regulatory bodies. Experience in supporting clients in adhering to compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drafting, vetting and reviewing contracts and agreements including Tender Documents, Purchase Order (PO), Work Order (WO), Lease Deeds, License Agreements, Power of Attorney (POA), Amendment Agreement, Addendum, Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA), Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), etc.
• Advising the Management & Business Teams on Tendering & Bidding matters.
• Providing opinions and suggestions to management on legal matters including compliance on the basis of true and correct interpretation of Contractual Terms & Conditions, Statutory and Legal Provisions and Judicial Precedents.
• Drafting, Issuing and/or Replying to the Legal Notices, Show Cause Notices, etc.
• Litigation Management and Dispute Resolutions including Negotiation, Mediation, Conciliation Proceedings, Arbitration Proceedings, Writ Petitions, Civil & Criminal Proceedings, Labour & Industrial Laws, etc.
• Drafting and review of Statement of Claim, Statement of Defense, Pleadings, Plaints, Applications, Written Statements, Rejoinders, Replies, Complaints, Appeals, Affidavits, Misc. Applications, Revisions, Petitions etc.
• Co-ordinating with internal teams and liaisoning with Legal Counsel for handling matters before Courts, Tribunals, Revenue & Labour Authorities, Semi Judicial & Quasi-Judicial Authorities, etc.
• Maintaining updated list of case status/records pertaining to the Company.
• Advise the Management on cases involving potential liabilities and strategies to mitigate risks.
