Human Resource Business Partner

Role & responsibilities

• Partner the CHRO in the formulation and implementation of HR strategy for the KOEL & Industrial Business.
• Partner the Business Unit Head in the formulation and implementation of business specific HR interventions
• Provide advice to the Business Unit Head on domestic and global trends in effective people management for decision making
• Optimize HR costs across the organization through manpower rightsizing, productivity enhancement, redeployment etc.
• Provide inputs to the CHRO in development of the organizations short-term and long-term HR strategy aligned to organization vision/ mission, business strategy and objectives
• Lead periodic review of organization structure, reporting relationships and delegation of authority to align it with the organization strategy and needs
• Develop the organization as an Employer of Choice through various employer branding initiatives and benchmarking with best practices in the industry
• Provide overall supervision and guidance on the performance management process and continuously monitor its efficacy
• Oversee the design and implementation of the various employee engagement initiatives across the organization
• Support HR budgeting process by providing inputs on various employee related expenses for the respective business units to serve as an input to the AOP (annual operating plan)
• Conduct timely goal setting, monitoring, review of performance and provide feedback to team members
• Ensure high level of employee engagement and retention of critical employees
• Provide subordinates with guidance, training and required growth opportunities to ensure their development for higher roles
• Mentor and coach subordinates to develop their capabilities and build a strong succession pipeline for the role
• Foster an environment of learning, excellence and innovation within all aspects of team work
