Maintenance Technician- FMCG - Nigeria

Job Summary: -

• Attend to downtimes in bouillon cube press & wrapping machines, packing machines,and conveyors in case junior technician is not available or not able to rectify the issue
• Conduct the preventive and predictive maintenance of all equipments as per the maintenance schedule
• Providing leadership and guidance to maintenance teams, assigning tasks, setting priorities, and ensuring that all team members adhere to safety protocols and best practices.
• Utilizing strong diagnostic skills to identify and rectify mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues efficiently.
• Coordinating maintenance schedules to minimize disruption to production while ensuring timely completion of tasks.
• Enforcing safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel and prevent accidents or injuries.
• Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and inventory management.
• Providing training and mentorship to junior technicians, sharing knowledge and expertise to enhance the team's skillset and capabilities.
• Collaborating with external vendors for specialized repairs, equipment upgrades, or procurement of spare parts, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
• Proactively seeking opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancement, implementing innovative solutions to optimize equipment performance and reliability.
• Responding promptly to emergency maintenance situations, implementing contingency plans etc

Experience: - Minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in a food manufacturing environment. Strong troubleshooting skills, familiarity with preventive maintenance practices, and a demonstrated ability to lead
