Fabric Merchandiser

Role & responsibility

* Collaborate closely with design, production, and sales teams to ensure timely execution of product development and delivery schedules.

* Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscape, and utilize insights to inform product assortment and pricing strategies.

Manage end-to-end merchandising processes, including sourcing raw materials, negotiating pricing and terms with suppliers, and overseeing production quality control.

* Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, ensuring seamless communication and adherence to quality standards and delivery timelines.

* Analyse sales performance and inventory levels regularly to optimize product mix and minimize excess stock, taking proactive measures to address any discrepancies.

* Stay updated on industry developments, trade shows, and fashion events to stay ahead of market trends and capitalize on new opportunities.

* Negotiate contracts and terms to secure the best pricing and delivery schedules.

Preferred candidate profile

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Fashion Technology/ Fashion Designing/Merchandising or related field.

Experience

• Couple of years of Experience is preferred.

• understanding of textile manufacturing processes, fabric sourcing, and garment production techniques.

* Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal teams and external suppliers.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems. Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator or other design software is a plus.
