Mining Engineer

Mining Engineer for Civil International highway projects with minimum 10+ years of experience

1. Mining Engineer with experience in Stone quarrying, especially in Road projects.

2. Locating and Identifying stone quarries in premises with affordable leads, with the help of geographical maps, sampling and testing, handling third parties, assessment of quantity, yield, stone category, conformance of suitability for the intended works.

3. Formulating methodology, type of drilling and blasting, identification and assessment of suitable explosives and required quantum, developing blasting patterns, grid size, depth etc. according to the quarry dynamics.

4. Leading the team for arranging all required licences, permits for undertaking the mining, from all relevant government/ non-government authorities.

5. Leading the mining crew comprising of Blasters, drill operators, labours and helpers, supervising the entire blasting operations.

6. Combine knowledge of extraction and processing systems with excellent interpersonal and management skills to ensure the profitability of quarry sites.

7. Check that the quarry's production levels are maintained safely to schedule.

8. Closely monitor all areas of the quarry to ensure that extraction and processing work is carried out to the highest of standards.

9. Provide active leadership and management of safety processes and culture to minimise risk in all operations activities.

10. Liaise with staff on site and deal with any technical or staffing challenges that arise.

11. Undertake regular site inspections and risk assessments in order to comply with all health and safety regulations.

12. Examine the materials produced to ensure that a high quality of product is maintained.

13. Assess equipment and production material levels.

14. Order new items as required.
