Lab Chemist

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Lab Chemist to join our Quality Control team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing quality analysis, testing of products, and conducting both qualitative and quantitative analyses to ensure that all products meet internal and regulatory standards. This position requires expertise in laboratory techniques, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Product Testing & Quality Control:
  
• Conduct routine testing and analysis of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products.
• Ensure product quality by performing standard and custom laboratory tests (e.g., physical, chemical, microbial, and sensory tests).
• Verify product compliance with quality specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and evaluate product performance and quality in the laboratory environment.

• Qualitative and Quantitative Analysis:
  
• Perform qualitative analysis to identify the presence of specific compounds and substances in raw materials and products.
• Execute quantitative analysis to determine the concentration or quantity of specific elements or compounds in products, including the use of techniques like chromatography, spectroscopy, titration, etc.
• Ensure accurate and precise measurements using scientific equipment and methods.

• Documentation & Reporting:
  
• Document test results and prepare detailed technical reports for internal and regulatory review.
• Record and maintain accurate data on product testing and analysis in compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
• Identify and report deviations from expected results and provide solutions to resolve issues.

• Laboratory Equipment & Instrumentation:
  
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment, ensuring proper calibration and regular maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to laboratory equipment.
• Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environment.

• Process Improvement:
  
• Assist in developing and optimizing laboratory testing procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and cross-functional meetings to discuss product quality and testing methodologies.

• Regulatory Compliance:
  
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, ISO, EPA standards) in all laboratory activities.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes that impact laboratory practices and product quality.

Qualifications:

• Education:
• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.

• Experience:
• 0 - 2 years of experience in a laboratory or quality control setting.

• Skills and Knowledge:

• Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques and testing methods, including chromatography, spectroscopy, and titration.
• Experience with qualitative and quantitative analysis.
• Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), ISO standards, and other relevant industry regulations.
• Proficient in using laboratory equipment and instruments (e.g., HPLC, GC, UV-Vis spectrophotometer).
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with laboratory software for data management.

• Work Environment: The position will be performed in a laboratory setting. Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided and must be worn.
