Database Administrator

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer databases for Navis customers as part of Managed Services.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues efficiently.
• Set up new customer databases and ensure proper configuration.
• Optimize performance and manage live production databases.
• Provide consulting and recommendations on database sizing and configuration to enhance performance and scalability.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Database Administrator in an enterprise software environment.
• Proficient in administering Microsoft SQL Server databases.
• Knowledge of Oracle databases is a plus
• Highly self-motivated, with strong attention to detail.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in high-pressure situations.
• Strong customer service orientation, with a commitment to client satisfaction.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Experience in the maritime or logistics industry is highly advantageous.
• Familiarity with Navis Terminal Operating System (TOS) is a significant plus.
• Proven experience in working within distributed virtual teams.
