Role & responsibilities
Emerging Markets Research:
- Conduct thorough market research and analysis on financial inclusion trends, competitors, and regulatory landscapes in Kenya and East Africa where we want to initiate our expansion.
- Develop actionable insights and strategic recommendations to inform Kaleidofins market entry and expansion plans.
Debt Capital Markets:
- Bond Issuances: Assist in gathering data and preparing reports related to bond issuances, learning about market trends and transaction processes.
- Market Research: Conduct research on centralized bond markets and emerging financing techniques to support strategic decision-making.
- Structured Finance Learning: Assist senior team members with developing financial models, gaining exposure to structured finance transactions
Align with Ki Credit Platform:
- Support senior managers in integrating selected originators into the Ki Credit debt capital markets platform.
- Assist in preparing materials and demonstrations of the platforms capabilities for potential clients.
Strategic Project Management:
- Collaborate with the Founders Office on mission-critical projects, including market expansion, and partnership evaluation.
- Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and models that will be presented to internal and external stakeholders.
Cross-functional Coordination:
- Work with teams across product, finance, and business development to ensure smooth execution of strategic initiatives.
- Monitor and report on key project milestones, risks, and outcomes.
Preferred candidate profile
- Recent masters graduate in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related discipline from Tier I universities in India and overseas.
- Preferred Female candidates only
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with experience preparing reports and
presentations.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment where strategic thinking and initiative are valued.
- A deep interest in economics, fintech, financial inclusion, and emerging markets.
- This role is based in Chennai but requires at least 20% travel. We are looking for candidates to be open to travel to Kenya and other parts of East Africa on a need basis.
