Litigation Lawyer

Role & responsibilities

Designation: Assistant Legal Manager / Deputy Legal Manager Litigation (Civil & Criminal)

Gender Preference: Males ONLY

Department: Legal Team

Work Location: Yeshwanthpur (Bangalore)

Qualification: Bachelor (Law Degree) from a recognized university in India

Experience: 5+ years of Legal Litigation (Civil & Criminal) experience with overall work experience in Law Firm.

Candidates with fluent spoken English and Kannada language having good network in the Legal space (Courts, Police, Administration) will be preferred for the position.

Responsibilities:

1. Manages and handles accounts identified as high risk”/litigation/title issues, and recommends and helps facilitate the appropriate course of action to mitigate potential exposure

2. Manages notifications received to ensure timely responses where required

3. Tracks and monitors litigated title claim issues and provide reporting to management and stakeholders

4. Prepares and distributes monthly management and executive reports

5. Periodically assesses Policy and Procedures and advises management on improvement opportunities

6. Attends client meetings and provides updates related to litigation, title, and compensatory fees

7. Attends state/county hearings or medications as needed

8. Participates in off-site due diligence reviews

9. Completes other duties and projects as assigned by management

Skills:

1. Attorney or previous legal experience with handling litigation issues for corporate (preferred)

2. Previous project management experience

3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills

4. Familiar with foreclosure and bankruptcy laws in a multi-state portfolio

5. Detail-oriented ability to successfully manage multiple priorities, and possess the ability to meet deadlines

6. Strong analytical skills

7. Able to work in a fast-paced environment

8. Working knowledge with Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, and software applications

Salary: Upto 10LPA (Negotiable)
