Audit Associate-Semi Qualified

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Semi-Qualified Chartered Accountant for the Madhya Pradesh location. The one will be responsible for conducting procurement and pre-audit processes, ensuring compliance, and analyzing procurement activities to support business efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Pre-Audit/Procurement Audit:

• Review procurement transactions and invoices for accuracy, compliance with policies, and consistency with contractual agreements.
• Ensure that all payments to vendors are legitimate, authorized, and within agreed terms.
• Perform pre-audit checks on vendor bills before payments, ensuring proper documentation and supporting materials are in place.

2. Data Analysis and Reporting:

• Conduct detailed analysis of procurement and vendor data to identify trends, irregularities, and areas for cost savings or process improvements.
• Prepare regular audit reports and highlight discrepancies, policy violations, or potential risks.
• Assist in the preparation of reports for senior management with recommendations to improve procurement processes.

3. Vendor Management:

• Maintain a database of vendors and contracts, ensuring accurate records and up-to-date information.
• Verify vendor details and payment terms as part of the audit process.
• Liaise with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies or issues related to invoices or payments.

4. Collaboration with Internal Teams:

• Work closely with procurement, finance, and other internal teams to streamline audit and procurement processes.
• Assist in preparing the audit plan and participate in periodic internal audits of procurement activities.

Skills and Qualifications:

Experience:

• Pursuing CA (Chartered Accountant)
• At least 2-3 years of experience in internal auditing, accounting, or procurement-related functions.
• Prior experience in procurement audits, pre-auditing invoices, or similar roles is highly preferred.

Technical Skills:

• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and audit methodologies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and managing large datasets.
• Familiarity with procurement processes and vendor management practices.
• Experience with audit software or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is an advantage.
