Role: General Manager, Category.
Purpose of the Job:. To achieve 2-3x growth of the brand (product line) through product and market innovation.
Key Responsibilities:.
- Own Innovation Roadmap for the brand to drive penetration and share of requirement among users.
- Deep data analysis of trial, conversion, usage, retention to uncover patterns.
- Deep consumer research to identify unmet needs, insights, and likes/dislikes.
- Convert insights into concepts for product development and marketing initiatives.
- Own P&L for profitable growth of the brand.
- Pricing strategy based on cost plus, user backward and competition benchmarking.
- Cost optimization based on unit cost analysis and benchmarking.
- Project Management to launch product and marketing initiatives and ensure their success via collaborating with.
- Product, tech, and academic teams.
- Internal marketing team and external agencies.
- Sales teams.
Key Skills for the Role:
- Thinking and Problem Solving: Strong data analysis and connecting the dot's ability.
- Intuition and Insight mining: Being able to observe, listen and understand consumer insights to uncover opportunities.
- Eye for Marketing & Brand Communication: Clarity in briefs and in experience in developing effective marketing communication.
- Collaboration and Influence: Proven capability to collaborate with and influence senior leaders.
- Financial Acumen: Strong knowledge of pricing strategies, P&L management, and ROI evaluation.
Ideal Experience Profile:
- MBA from tier-1 colleges (IIM's or ISB).
- 2-4 years of experience in managing 200-500 Cr brand or category.
Brand Manager/ Assistant Brand Manager from FMCG companies Or Category Management roles in high growth start-ups.
