Devops Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Strong background in Linux / Unix Administration
• Experience with GCP
• Experience with Automation and Orchestration tools including Terraform, Packer, Ansible.
• Experience with Docker.
• Experience in one or more of Perl, Python, Go or scripting experience in Shell.
• Working knowledge of key/value stores, database technologies (SQL and NoSQL), Application monitoring and content delivery systems, including Redis, NewRelic, Akamai, Fastly/Varnish, ELK, Grafana etc
• Basic understanding of networking and infrastructure setup in a web hosting/delivery environment.
• Experience with hardening systems and knowledge in information security.
• Architecture, design and implementation of all server environments, from dev through production
• Experience in deploying & troubleshooting complex web applications or microservices that rely on multiple components such as relational and NoSQL databases, caching layers, external APIs, CDNs, etc.
• Good understanding of change and version management.
• Highly accountable and takes ownership.
• Experience in secure cloud environment using industry best practices
• Broad and deep experience with web operations from automation of server provisioning to cloud computing.
• Experience in managing projects, business-as-usual work and product roadmap priorities simultaneously.
