To support the development of its Hydrogen Business Line, John Cockerill Hydrogen (JC H2) is looking for a HSE Engineer
(m/f) to be based in India office engineering center.
In collaboration with the project execution and engineering teams (Process, EAI, etc ), the HSE Engineer has a
cross-functional role for John Cockerill Hydrogen to support and advise the project execution teams on health,
safety, environment, and hygiene, in collaboration with the HSE Manager to whom he reports. In addition, his
mission will be to anticipate and prevent risks and non-conformities of the projects.
Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the HSE Engineer are as follows:
Assess the level of HSE compliance of the hydrogen sector projects entrusted to it and at each stage of the project according to the applicable legislation and standards (local regulations, Hydrogen related
legislations and standards, ISO standards, etc.),
Verify and support the implementation of project risk assessments and the implementation and follow up of actions,
Ensure that all internal HSE procedures are in place and respected within projects,
Ensure the implementation and monitoring of an HSE action plan necessary for the continuation of the
project,
Promote HSE culture within the Hydrogen sector and develop a strong safety culture focused on HSE performance and continuous improvement.
Education and Experience
You have an engineering degree and/or HSE certification,
You have at least 10 to 15 years of experience in a role directly related to the areas of Safety/Health, Hygiene and Environment of Oil & Gaz business.
Ideally, you have an experience in an industrial environment and/or in the development of turnkey projects; experience in the hydrogen sector or in the chemical industry is an asset,
You are flexible, autonomous, field and project oriented,
A team player, you also have a natural ease in human relations and communication.
Ability to read and understand P&IDs (process and instrumentation diagrams)
Experience in Hazid, Hazop, Lopa methods
Ability to translate legal/standard requirements in an understandable manner.
