Trading Application Support Analyst

The Application Support Engineer will operate in this space with technical expertise, hands-on supporting eTrading/Algo/Market Making/Position & Risk Management experience, fixed-income product knowledge, and excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide L1 support for in-house built Font Office Pricing/Risk/Algo compute platform.
• Provide L1 support for in-house Kx/KDB+ Refinery applications.
• Help build out monitoring and alert tools for our in-house applications.
• Help with release management and application deployment.
• Act as the support contact for internal and external clients.
• Work closely with platform developers, quants, and data analysts to troubleshoot any issue.
• Maintain good communication with all stakeholders throughout the life cycle of the issue.
• Keeping a record of configuration changes and scheduling application updates.
• Documenting processes and monitoring application performance metrics.

Essential Skills/Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrable experience in supporting real-time distributed financial application platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Linux OS, Linux commands, and shell scripts.
• Experience in monitoring tools like Grafana, Control-M, Splunk, and Prometheus.
• Advanced proficiency in determining the cause of application errors and repairing them.
• Exceptional communication skills.

Preferred:

• Pricing of fixed-income products like bonds, swaps, and derivatives
• Swap product curve construction and boost strapping.
• Position Risk & P&L.
• Algo trading.
• Experience in supporting the Kx/KDB refinery.
• Knowledge on Python language.
