Sr Test Engineer (API Automation)

As a Senior Automation Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing scalable automation frameworks and solutions. You will be responsible for driving innovation, ensuring best practices, and enabling seamless automation across teams and systems. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and the ability to collaborate across multiple departments. 

• Work closely with the automation specialists and the wider team to develop and implement scalable, efficient, and reusable automation frameworks. 

• Collaborate with wider teams to champion automation standards, policies, and guidelines. 

• Support in Hiring, Onboarding and Mentoring junior engineers and provide technical guidance. 

• Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practices. 

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues within automation frameworks. 

• Stay updated on emerging automation tools and technologies to ensure competitive advantage. 

• Create detailed technical documentation for automation strategies and approaches. 

• Support proof of concepts for new automation initiatives and recommend optimal solutions. 

You will be Proficient in C# and hold extensive experience of automating RESTful APIs.  You will also have – 

• Minimum 6 to 10 years of QA automation experience 

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. 

• Proficiency in different design patterns for API automation using C# 

• Expertise in BDD Framework using Reqnroll  

• Knowledge of Mocking Mechanism such as Wiremock, or any equivalent tool, is essential.  

• Experience in Integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless deployment processes. Strong understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Azure DevOps. 

• Experience with Git based source control tools and working in an agile environment. 

• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes. 

• Proven experience in designing and implementing automation frameworks from scratch. 

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. 

• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities. 

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
