Responsibilities :
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of 50+ software engineers across all stages of their careers.
- Define the technical vision and roadmap for assigned projects, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Decompose complex projects into manageable tasks and user stories, ensuring clear ownership and accountability.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the engineering team.
- Recruit, interview, and hire top-tier software engineering talent.
- Oversee the performance management process for direct reports, providing constructive feedback and coaching for development.
- Track project progress against established timelines and budgets, proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
- Implement and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines to automate the software development lifecycle.
- Experience in building and deploying applications on cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
- Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum) and a proven track record of successful project delivery.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Key Result Areas (KRAs) :
- Successfully deliver high-impact software projects on time and within budget.
- Reduce code defects through improved code reviews and testing practices.
- Increase team productivity through effective process optimization and tooling implementation.
- Achieve employee satisfaction rating on annual performance reviews.
- Recruit and hire top-performing software engineers.
Required Qualifications :
- 14+ years of experience in software engineering, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in managing and leading high-performing software engineering teams.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum).
- In-depth knowledge of C#, .NET, .NET Core, and API development.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (i.e., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) is a plus.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- A passion for building high-quality, scalable software solutions.
Bonus Points :
- Experience in building and deploying serverless applications.
- Experience with containerization technologies (i.e., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience in DevOps practices.
- A strong understanding of security best practices
