Production Supervisor

Role & responsibilities

• Supervising Production Activities: Directly oversee day-to-day production activities, including scheduling, coordinating workflows, and assigning tasks to production workers.
• Team Management: Lead, motivate, and mentor production staff to foster a positive work environment and maximize productivity. Provide training as needed and address any performance issues promptly.
• Safety Compliance: Enforce safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. Conduct regular safety inspections, implement corrective measures, and promote safety awareness among team members.
• Quality Control: Monitor production processes to maintain high-quality standards and ensure compliance with specifications. Implement quality control measures, conduct inspections, and address any quality-related issues in a timely manner.
• Production Planning: Collaborate with management and other departments to develop production schedules, set production goals, and prioritize tasks to meet customer demands and deadlines.
• Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, monitor stock levels of raw materials and finished goods, and coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely supply and distribution.
• Performance Monitoring: Track production metrics, analyze performance data, and identify areas for improvement. Develop and implement strategies to optimize production efficiency and reduce costs.
• Troubleshooting: Address any operational issues or equipment malfunctions that may arise during production. Coordinate with maintenance staff to resolve technical problems and minimize downtime.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate production records, including production reports, inventory logs, and employee records. Prepare regular reports for management to evaluate performance and make informed decisions.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes, increase productivity, and streamline operations. Encourage innovation and implement best practices to achieve operational excellence.

Preferred candidate profile

• Fresher BE (ANY SPECIALIZATION) OR 1+ years of experience in a relevant field such as industrial engineering, manufacturing (or equivalent experience)
• Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of production processes, equipment, and technologies
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks, make decisions under pressure, and solve problems effectively
• Understanding of safety regulations and quality management systems
• Willingness to work flexible hours and adapt to changing production demands
