Process Engineer

Direct report: Sr Manager / Head - Process

Skills required: 3-5 years experience in Pharma (API) is needed for this role.

Requirement - Urgent

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out Basic Engineering for projects (Preparation of PFD, Material & Energy balance)
• Carry out detailed engineering activities in coordination with engineering consultant (Preparation of P&IDs, Equipment list and specification, Layout, Pump Hydraulics, Instrument list and electrical load list)
• Prepare utility load requirement, header sizing and utility summary for the projects
• Carry out HAZOP and incorporate the recommendations
• Prepare/review process data sheets for fabrication equipment, pump datasheets and instrument datasheets
• Prepare technical bid evaluation (TBA) for equipment
• Co-ordinate with Instrument, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical disciplines and Engineering consultant in order to meet the quality and schedule throughout the projects
• Provide technical clarification to Mechanical, Instrument and Electrical departments during procurement, from process point of view
• Participate in DCS related activities (logic/recipe preparation and interlocks preparation)
• Participate in Factory acceptance test (FAT) and Site acceptance test (Checking of graphics, interlocks and sequence for the DCS at vendors site and at project site during commissioning)
• Provide training to operations team for graphics, sequences and interlocks during on site commissioning of DCS
• Prepare tie up list in coordination with operations team for hooking up new system with existing (as and when applicable)
• Prepare schedule for pre-commissioning and start up activities
• Participate in Pre start up safety review (PSSR) along with operations and SHE team and implementation of recommendations
• Commission projects through water run, pilot trial and batch trials
• Provide troubleshooting during commissioning for achieving desired output and quality of product

Desired porfile:

• Minimum BTech/BE in Chemical Engineering Tech/ME in Chemical Engineering
• Project Setup and Commissioning experience mandatory
• Experience should be predominantly in API or API Intermediate or Fine & Specialty Chemicals Industry
• AutoCAD knowledge
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Ability to work with cross functional teams
• Self motivated individual
