TechTree IT Systems - Java Developer - Spring/Hibernate (3-5 yrs)

Key Responsibilities :

- Translate client business requirements into systems design.

- Challenge the business design where appropriate and offer creative alternatives to improve system performance and functionality.

- Write clean, efficient, and bug-free code.

- Refine and optimize code for better performance.

- Effectively debug and troubleshoot code issues.

- Set coding standards for the development team.

- Identify problem areas in the module and actively work to fix them to improve functionality.

- Choose the appropriate development approach based on project requirements and timelines.

- Move code to further testing phases, ensuring it is absolutely bug-free before release.

- Communicate complex or difficult scenarios to clients for further discussion and resolution.

- Maintain and modify existing modules as necessary, ensuring updates and enhancements meet client requirements.

- Maintain proper documentation for modifications made, ensuring it's clear for future reference.

- Acknowledge project timelines and ensure adherence to deadlines.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, MCA, BE, or equivalent.

- Experience in system integration and application development.

- Strong proficiency in JAVA, J2EE, Struts, Spring MVC, Hibernate (or similar ORM tools), JSP, HTML, XML, JavaScript, and Web Services (JAX-WS, REST-API).

- Solid experience in working with Oracle 9i, MySQL, and development environments.

- Familiarity with DB DDL, DML, triggers, and stored procedures.

- Good understanding of Design Patterns, UML, and analytical problem-solving techniques.

- Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.

- Familiarity with version control systems such as CVS or SVN.

- Ability to work on modules from end to end, ensuring high-quality, timely delivery.

Required Skills :

- Minimum 2 years of experience in JAVA/J2EE technology with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOPS).

- At least 2 years of experience with ORM tools like Hibernate or EJB.

- Strong hands-on experience with Struts and Spring MVC frameworks.

- Experience in creating and consuming web services (JAX-WS, REST-API).

- Proficiency in HTML, XML, and JavaScript for front-end development.

- Understanding of Design Patterns, UML, and ability to handle complex business logic.

- Strong database knowledge, including DDL, DML, triggers, and stored procedures.

- Experience working with version control systems like CVS or SVN
