VB.Net and C# Software Developer - Remote

Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and skilled Software Developer to support our existing desktop application written in VB.NET and C#. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team that develops, maintains, and enhances the desktop application, working with SQL databases and version control systems (SVN and GIT). This is a fully remote role, ideal for someone looking for flexibility while gaining hands-on experience in software development.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in maintaining and supporting the desktop application written in VB.NET and C#.

Troubleshoot and resolve application issues reported by users.

Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.

Collaborate with senior developers on new features and enhancements.

Conduct testing and debugging of the application to ensure high-quality code.

Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to the development team.

Support database operations, including SQL queries, basic database management, and optimization.

Work with version control systems like SVN and GIT for source code management.

Maintain and update technical documentation as required.

Qualifications:

3 to 6 years of experience in VB.NET and C# with intermediate to advance level knowledge.

Good understanding of relational database concepts (MS SQL). 

Knowledge of MySQL and PostgreSQL would be an advantage. 

Experience with version control systems like SVN and GIT.

Good problem-solving and analytical skills.

Ability to work independently and within a team.

Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

A passion for learning and improving skills in software development.

Preferred Skills (Optional):

Exposure to Windows desktop application development.

Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Experience with debugging and performance optimization.

Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
