Role & responsibilities

Utility Maintenance:

a. 11kV Operating Switch and MV Panel Maintenance:

Operate and maintain the 11kV switchgear and medium-voltage (MV) panels.

Ensure proper functioning of electrical distribution systems, including conducting regular inspections, testing, and troubleshooting.

Perform preventive maintenance and fault diagnosis on MV and HV equipment.

b. Diesel Genset Maintenance (UPL Monitoring):

Conduct regular checks and maintenance of diesel generators, ensuring they are operating efficiently.

Monitor and control genset performance using UPL (Utility Power Load) systems.

Carry out troubleshooting, load testing, and preventive maintenance.

c. Compressor Maintenance:

Regular maintenance of air compressors, ensuring smooth operation of pneumatic systems.

Troubleshoot faults and replace worn or damaged components as necessary.

Conduct regular lubrication, cleaning, and pressure testing.

d. Cooling Tower Maintenance:

Ensure the proper functioning of cooling towers by monitoring temperature, pressure, and water quality.

Perform routine maintenance tasks like cleaning, chemical treatment, and equipment checks.

Troubleshoot and repair cooling system failures.

e. Lighting, UPS, and Network Maintenance:

Maintain and troubleshoot the lighting systems to ensure proper illumination across the facility.

Perform preventive maintenance and repair work on Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) to ensure power backup during outages.

Ensure smooth operation of the network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and wiring systems.

2. Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance:

a. Electrical Troubleshooting and Correction:

Diagnose and repair electrical faults across various machines and systems.

Test electrical circuits, components, and equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational requirements.

b. Induction Heater Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on induction heating systems used in forging processes.

Ensure the induction heaters are calibrated and functioning optimally for heat treatment operations.

c. Heating Treatment:

Oversee the heat treatment processes, ensuring that furnaces and ovens are calibrated and well-maintained.

Conduct routine checks and troubleshoot heating equipment failures or inefficiencies.

d. Machine Maintenance:

Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on Computer Numerical Control (CNC) and Vertical Machining Centers (VMC).

Ensure the accuracy and precision of machine tools by maintaining and repairing key components like motors, drives, and control systems.

e. Preventive Maintenance & Critical Spares:

Develop and implement a preventive maintenance (PM) schedule for all critical equipment.

Maintain a list of critical spare parts, ensuring that spare parts are available and in good condition for quick repairs.

Track the Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) and Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) to improve overall machine reliability.

f. Knowledge of Predictive & Proactive Maintenance:

Utilize predictive maintenance techniques such as vibration analysis, thermography, and ultrasonic testing to foresee potential failures.

Take a proactive approach in identifying potential problems and addressing them before they cause downtime or equipment failure.
