Billing (AR) Specialist

Role & responsibilities

• The billing and AR specialist is responsible for sending invoices to clients & monitoring outstanding balances to ensure each account is paid on time & in full.
•  Securely handle client data and payment information.
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or disputes in a timely manner, working closely with internal departments and external clients as needed.
•  Proactively contact customers via email and phone to follow up on overdue invoices and secure payments within established timelines.
• Accurately document all collection activities, notes, and communications in the billing system or customer relationship management (CRM) software.

Preferred candidate profile

• A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, and collections, specifically handling collections through email and calls.
• Proficiency in accounting software with advanced Excel skills.
• Strong understanding of billing processes, accounts receivable principles, and collection techniques.
• Excellent communication skills (written & Verbal both).
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with ERP systems or billing software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) is a plus.
•  Availability to work during US hours is essential for this role.
• Candidates must have their own system/work setup for remote work.
