Role : Data Modeller

Job Description :

- Data Modeling: Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models to meet business needs, ensuring alignment with business rules, data definitions, and system requirements.

- Database Design: Design and maintain database structures (e.g., relational, dimensional, and NoSQL databases) that ensure the efficient storage, retrieval, and management of data.

- Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with database developers, data architects, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into data models.

- Data Governance: Support data governance initiatives by ensuring data integrity, consistency, and accuracy across the organization.

- Data Warehousing: Create and optimize star schemas, snowflake schemas, and other data warehouse designs for reporting and analytics.

- Data Mapping and Transformation: Develop data mapping and transformation rules to integrate data from various sources into a consistent format for use across systems.

- Data Quality Assurance: Conduct data profiling, auditing, and validation to ensure high levels of data quality across systems.

- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data models, including data dictionaries, ER diagrams, and metadata repositories.

- Optimization: Analyze and optimize existing data models for performance, scalability, and future growth, identifying opportunities for improvement.

- Tool Utilization: Use modeling tools (e.g., Erwin, ER/Studio, IBM InfoSphere Data Architect) to create and maintain data models.

- Data Standards: Define and enforce data modeling standards, naming conventions, and best practices across the organization.
