Billing Manager Hospital

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Hospital Billing Manager to oversee all aspects of the hospital's revenue cycle management. This key role will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely billing and collections, maximizing reimbursement from insurance companies and government programs, and maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Revenue Cycle Management:
• Oversee the entire revenue cycle process, from patient registration and charge capture to claims submission, payment posting, and collections.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the revenue cycle.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as days in accounts receivable (AR), collection rates, and write-off percentages.
• Identify and address bottlenecks in the revenue cycle.
• Billing and Coding:
• Ensure accurate and timely coding and billing of all patient services.
• Maintain compliance with ICD-10, CPT, and other coding guidelines.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure coding accuracy.
• Train and supervise coding staff.
• Insurance Claims Processing:
• Manage the submission of insurance claims to all payers, including private insurance companies, Medicare, and Medicaid.
• Monitor claim status and follow up on denials and appeals.
• Negotiate reimbursement rates with insurance companies.
• Collections:
• Oversee all patient collections activities, including phone calls, letters, and agency referrals.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve patient collections.
• Monitor and analyze collection trends.
• Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including HIPAA, Stark Law, and the Anti-Kickback Statute.
• Conduct regular compliance audits.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
