Job Description: Project Manager
Position: Project Manager
Location: Remote
Shift: 5 PM to 2 AM
Experience: 5+ Years
Job Requirements
Project Management Experience:
- Minimum 5 full life cycle implementations, including at least 2 as a Project Manager.
- Managed 1 full life cycle project using a variation of the Scrum Agile framework.
Technical and Business Acumen:
- Strong understanding of technology to effectively communicate with technical teams (coding experience not required).
- Demonstrated knowledge of the impact of technology on business operations.
- Ability to discuss business processes with customers beyond just the technology aspect.
Industry Knowledge:
- Experience in the utility industry (electric, gas, water, etc. ) is a plus.
Project Management Skills:
- Managed multiple projects through all phases of the software development lifecycle.
- Proficiency in Resource Management, Risk Management, Time Management, Project Estimates, and Status Reporting.
- Familiarity with creating and maintaining project plans and organizing project scrums.
Soft Skills:
- Ability to quickly adapt and deliver value in unfamiliar settings.
- Build confidence among team members and clients.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with excellent presentation skills.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
Tools and Certifications:
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Microsoft Project and Visio.
- Formal training or certifications in Project Management (PMP) and/or Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Business Administration or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience working as a Project Manager in operations and/or business environments (consulting or supporting external clients is a plus).
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership and Execution:
- Understand and articulate the functional scope and technology of the product/service for the assigned project.
- Lead and coordinate project activities with all stakeholders, including technical and applications teams.
- Ensure project milestones and deliverables are achieved through effective leadership and direction.
Resource and Risk Management:
- Manage resources, document project statuses, and handle risks effectively.
- Prepare and maintain project plans and estimates.
- Report project progress through burn-down charts and status updates.
Stakeholder Management:
- Establish and maintain relationships with internal teams and external clients.
- Organize and schedule meetings, scrums, and presentations.
- Provide regular updates and formal presentations to executives, global business partners, and other key stakeholders.
Team Collaboration and Motivation:
- Motivate teams, including members outside of direct authority, to meet project objectives.
