• Postgres and Oracle DBA expertise having at least 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• Excellent knowledge of Database Administration and Strong understanding of SQL.
• General understanding of the design and development of applications that access PostgreSQL/Oracle.
• Good knowledge on any programming languages, databases drivers, APIs with postman and troubleshooting issues.
• Strong backup and restore (pg_dump, rman, physical backup tools), database performance tuning, SQL Query tuning and development, Replication (Goldengate) and Failover experience.
• Able to work with data architects to design conceptual data models and data flows. And Implement data strategies and creating physical data models.
• Strong in scripting and task automation (SQL, Bash, Python, Git)
• Good understanding of database security, authentication models and data encryption.
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with application development teams.
• Knowledge of other RDBMS (SQL Server or DB2) or any NoSQL database (Couchbase or Mongo) is preferred.
