The mid-level UX designer will be responsible for creating engaging and intuitive user interfaces. The role requires a deep understanding of UX best practices and a passion for understanding user behaviors and needs through research, testing, and feedback.
Key Responsibilities
User Research: Conduct user research to gather insights into user needs and behaviors. Synthesize research findings into actionable deliverables like personas, journey maps, and user stories.
Design Execution: Design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys, and mockups optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces.
Prototyping and Testing: Create prototypes at various levels of fidelity to test and iterate on user interfaces. Conduct usability testing and incorporate user feedback to refine designs.
Collaboration: Work closely with UX researchers, product managers, and developers to implement designs that accurately reflect the intended user experience.
Design Systems: Contribute to the maintenance of a design system to ensure consistency across all products and platforms.
Accessibility: Ensure that all designs meet accessibility standards to accommodate users with disabilities.
Metrics and Feedback: Analyze user feedback and activity, and iterate to enhance the user experience.
Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior UX designers and other team members.
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Design, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in UX design.
Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, and InVision.
Strong understanding of user-centered design and testing methodologies.
Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills.
Experience with HTML/CSS and JavaScript is a plus.
A portfolio that demonstrates both creative thinking and the delivery of effective and pleasing user experiences.
