AI Research Engineer/Scientist

Job Description
The Emerging Systems Lab/Telecom Systems Research (ESL/TSR) in Intel Labs is an innovative research group that works closely with Intel product groups, industry partners and industry consortiums as well as with the academic community to drive technology advancements and business impacts. The group research and prototypes advanced network workloads, e.g., Private 5G Networks, 5G+/6G telecom infrastructure, and system architecture to optimize this infrastructure end-to-end using AI/ML to achieve higher efficiency, performance, etc.

We are looking for highly motivated software architect with hands-on development experience in networking and strong system knowledge. Knowledge of AI/ML frameworks and techniques and knowing cellular network architecture and protocol would be a plus. In this role you will be required to research, architect, and develop workloads and/or system features and collaborate with internal and/or external partners in the academic community or industry consortiums to bring advanced networking system design and workloads to life.

Qualifications
Knowledge of system software, Linux, proficient in C/C++, Python AI/ML frameworks and techniques Knowledge and experience with cellular network architecture and protocols Knowledge of efficient packet processing framework, e.g., DPDK, as well as understanding of Intel platform architecture, virtualization, container a plus. Experience with machine learning, deep learning algorithms a plus Ability to work in ambiguous technical environments and collaborate with open-source communitiesEducation/Experience PhD in CS/EE (or MS + 5yrs)
