Quality Assurance cum service engineer

Job Overview:

We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled QA cum Service Engineer to join our team at a leading X-ray manufacturing company. This dual-role position requires a blend of technical expertise in quality assurance and the ability to provide service and support for X-ray machines and related systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that products meet quality standards during the manufacturing process, as well as troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing X-ray equipment at customer sites and also conducting QA at customer site.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance (QA) Responsibilities:

• Review product designs, manufacturing processes, and system functions for quality assurance throughout the product lifecycle.
• Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures and documentation, including work instructions and process control charts.
• Analyze and report on product quality data, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Support regulatory compliance (such as FDA, ISO, CE, etc.) and ensure that the manufacturing processes are aligned with industry standards.

Service Engineer Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair X-ray machines and related systems at customer sites, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Provide technical support and training to customers on the proper use, maintenance, and safety protocols of X-ray equipment.
• Assist with the calibration, testing, and performance verification of X-ray machines to meet manufacturer specifications.
• Diagnose faults and propose solutions, including on-site repairs or remote troubleshooting.
• Respond to customer inquiries and provide timely service, ensuring high customer satisfaction levels.
• Maintain detailed service logs and reports on each service call, including equipment history, issues, resolutions, and parts used.
• Coordinate with the parts department to ensure required components are available for service operations.

Qualifications:

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Biomedical Engineering.
• 1- 2 years work experience. 2024 pass outs may also apply.
• Proven experience in quality assurance and service engineering within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the medical equipment or X-ray industry.
• In-depth knowledge of X-ray systems, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, with the ability to resolve complex technical issues independently.
• Experience with regulatory standards (ISO 9001, CE, FDA, etc.) and maintaining compliance, preferable.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with X-ray imaging systems and radiation safety protocols.
• Familiarity with software and diagnostic tools used in the servicing of X-ray systems.
