Key Responsibilities:

Power BI Core Skills:

• Data Visualization: Create compelling, interactive reports and dashboards with a deep understanding of Power BIs visual elements (charts, KPIs, maps, custom visuals).
• Data Modeling: Develop efficient data models, including star schema design, table relationships, and data hierarchies.
• DAX (Data Analysis Expressions): Apply advanced DAX skills to create calculated columns, measures, custom metrics, and complex data calculations.
• Power Query (M Language): Utilize Power Query for ETL tasks, transforming and shaping data before loading it into Power BI.
• Third-Party Integrations: Integrate Power BI with external data sources (e.g., BigQuery, SQL Server, Snowflake, REST APIs).
• Data Pipelines: Develop and manage ETL processes using tools like Azure Data Factory or other ETL solutions.
• Real-Time Data Integration: Set up real-time data connections with APIs, streaming datasets, and live data sources.
• Semantic Layer Creation: Design and implement a semantic layer to separate business logic from data storage, including metrics, hierarchies, and business rules.
• Data Governance: Ensure data accuracy and security through data lineage, metadata management, and governance practices.
• SQL: Advanced SQL skills for data extraction, manipulation, and performance tuning with large datasets.
• PowerShell: Automate tasks like report deployment, refresh schedules, and user permissions with PowerShell.
• Data Model Optimization: Apply techniques to optimize data models, manage memory, enable query folding, and minimize load times.
• Performance Tuning: Enhance report performance through optimized DAX expressions, Power Query transformations, and efficient data connections.
• Power BI Service Administration: Manage Power BI Service, including workspaces, apps, gateways, scheduled refreshes, and security.
• Deployment Pipelines: Implement structured deployment pipelines for development, testing, and production environments.
• Data Security and Access Control: Configure row-level and column-level security to protect data integrity.
• Educational Background: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
• Experience: Atleast 3 years experience in Power BI development or a similar role focused on data analysis and visualization.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in Power BI with strong DAX, Power Query, and data modeling skills.
• Knowledge of Azure Data Factory and other ETL tools for managing data pipelines.
• Strong SQL skills; familiarity with PowerShell and Python/R is a plus.
• Soft Skills: Analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and collaborative abilities.
