Job Description:

  • DevOps Leadership & Management:
    • Lead and manage the DevOps teams
    • Champion best practices for automation, CI/CD pipeline development, and continuous delivery.
    • Ensure the DevOps practices align with overall business and technical objectives, driving efficient and high-quality software delivery.
    • Optimize deployment processes and minimize downtime, improving productivity and reducing operational bottlenecks.
    • Oversee the end-to-end release process, ensuring smooth and timely software releases.
  • Technical Expertise & Innovation:
    • Provide strong technical leadership in DevOps tools and practices, including version control systems (Git), build automation tools (Jenkins, GitLab, CircleCI), and container orchestration platforms (Docker, Kubernetes).
    • Evaluate and recommend improvements for current DevOps processes, identifying areas for automation and optimization.
    • Understand cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP), and leverage infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible to improve scalability and efficiency.
    • Utilize Dynatrace or similar observability platforms to track system performance, application health, and troubleshoot potential issues.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders:
    • Work closely with product and engineering teams to align DevOps and release management practices with customer needs and business requirements.
    • Engage with customers as needed, ensuring that customer expectations are met with a focus on operational reliability and timely software delivery.
    • Establish clear communication channels with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project goals, timelines, and technical challenges.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Promote a culture of continuous learning, improvement, and knowledge sharing within the team.
    • Foster innovation and experimentation with emerging DevOps tools, methodologies, and technologies.
    • Measure and report on team effectiveness, identifying areas for improvement and driving changes to optimize performance.

Qualifications:

  • Required:
    • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent work experience).
    • 8+ years of experience in software development, DevOps, and release management, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
    • Strong experience with DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipeline management, automation, and deployment tools (Jenkins, GitLab, CircleCI).
    • Proficiency in containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
    • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), along with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
  • Good-to-Have (Additional Skills):
    • Experience working with Dynatrace or other observability platforms for monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing system performance.
    • Knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices, including incident management, post-mortem analysis, and reliability metrics like Service Level Objectives (SLOs).
    • Familiarity with infrastructure management and network configurations.
    • Understanding of logging, monitoring, and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk).
