A Researcher is able to run the research process of an assignment without support or guidance from another researcher. This includes (but is not limited to) identification and mapping, making confident approaches by phone, competent using and updating Master files, managing the relationship and communication with the Account Manager and delivering well written, accurate update reports. You may need help or guidance if it is a new sector/area/function, or a particularly complex search, however you should be able to run the research process on more straightforward searches, single-handedly within your practice.

1. Assist, where necessary, with pre-pitch preparation; research, market insight, mapping and sector and competitor analysis, to aid in the winning of assignments
2. Able to create an expert research strategy and 240 briefing for each assignment; demonstrating a clear consolidated understanding of the brief, the client and the assignment.
3. Effectively identify target companies both within the sector and those that may be relevant outside of the sector; using lateral and creative thought.
4. Competently create search reports for clients and Vertical Leader, illustrating the assignment landscape; able to adapt this as the assignments develops.
5. Expert use of a variety of intelligence gathering methods incl. sourcing, online digital tools, Master File and networking with internal stakeholders incl. other practices, Business & Account Manager, Practice Head and Quadrangle associates.
6. Identify and feed-back potential business development opportunities or market intelligence gathered whilst on your search journey.
7. Plugged in and up-to-date with sector knowledge, trends and insights, and therefore able to contribute to high levels discussions with candidates, advancing the practices connection and reputation.
8. Make a valued contribution to client briefings and progress updates (alongside the Vertical Leader) either in face-to-face meetings or over the phone

1. Network and engage with clients, candidates and industry sources as well as internal stakeholders (incl. Berwick and Interim) gain market intelligence and ideas on suitable candidates and industry news. Active in sharing that knowledge across the teams and the business.

1. Provide timely and accurate weekly update reports of interested, well qualified candidates and sources to the Vertical Leader
2. Produce timely, accurate and comprehensive written search reports on the progress of the assignment; showing/developing the quality of your written work.

1. Proactively approach potential candidates and sources via the telephone; able to engage and build rapport, use judgement to adjust your pitch and positioning, use expert listening skills and able to pitch and position Quadrangle and the role.
2. Able to ask intelligent, probing questions to elicit relevant information from candidates, clients and internal stakeholder
