Taxation Compliance (Review and Advisory Role):
1. GST Compliance:
- Review GST return filings (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9/9C) prepared by consultants to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Validate GST input tax credit claims and reconciliation of GSTR-2B with books of accounts.
- Oversee compliance related to e-invoicing and e-way bills.
- Review responses prepared by consultants for GST notices and assessments.
2. TCS and TDS Compliance:
- Review monthly TDS and TCS returns (26Q, 27EQ) prepared by finance executive for accuracy and adherence to timelines.
- Validate TDS/TCS deductions, deposits, and reconciliations with books
- Reconciliation of TDS receivable as per books and as per Form 26AS.
- Ensure compliance with e-commerce-specific provisions such as Section 194O and Section 206C(1H).
- Address discrepancies and provide technical inputs for consultant-prepared filings.
Secretarial Functions:
1. Corporate Governance Compliance:
- Review statutory records and ensure compliance with the Companies Act, 2013.
- Review and file ROC forms (MGT-7, AOC-4, DIR-3 KYC, etc.) with support from consultants.
- Draft resolutions, notices, and minutes for board and general meetings.
2. Secretarial Compliance Monitoring:
- Coordinate with consultants for secretarial audits and ensure compliance with audit recommendations.
- Validate FEMA, RBI, and other regulatory filings prepared by consultants for accuracy.
3. Stakeholder Management:
- Liaise with consultants, auditors, and regulatory authorities for taxation and secretarial matters.
- Assist the management team with insights on corporate governance best practices.
Desired Candidate Profile:
1. Qualification:
- Chartered Accountant (CA), Company Secretary (CS), or candidates with av strong background in taxation and corporate law.
- Additional certifications in indirect taxation or secretarial practices will be advantageous.
2. Experience:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in taxation review, corporate compliance, and governance in the e-commerce or allied industry.
- Hands-on experience in working with consultants for taxation and secretarial matters.
3. Skills:
- Strong understanding of GST, TDS, TCS laws, and e-commerce-specific provisions (e.g., Section 194O).
- Working knowledge of company law and regulatory compliance frameworks.
- Excellent review, analytical, and communication skills to validate consultant- prepared filings and provide technical insights.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, accounting tools (e.g., Tally, SAP), and government portals (GSTN, MCA, TRACES).
