IB Teacher

Role & responsibilities

• Teach the IB curriculum effectively and engage students by implementing inquiry-based, student-centered learning aligned with the IB curriculum.
• Foster critical thinking, creativity, and global awareness and encourage global citizenship and intercultural understanding.
• Integrate the IB Learner Profile into teaching to promote values like inquiry, open-mindedness, and responsibility.
• Assess, and monitor student progress, and use formative and summative assessments to track and support student progress.
• Provide constructive feedback and support
• Participate in school events and professional development, and collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary planning and development.
• Reflect on teaching practices and engage in professional growth.
• Effectively use technology to enhance learning.

Preferred candidate profile

• Master's degree or equivalent in the related field (mandatory)
• Valid Certification(s)/Teaching License in Teaching
• Familiarity with the scope and sequence and understanding of subject matter and its role in students' development
• Experience teaching within the International Baccalaureate (IB) program
• Strong IT and technical skills for creative and effective use of technology in the classroom
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Passion for teaching and fostering student creativity
