Required Chief / Senior Embryologist For Amritsar

Designation: Senior Embryologist

Location: Amritsar

Responsibilities:

Clinical Work

▪ Provide indirect patient care in emergency care situations.

▪ Perform all clinical embryology & andrology duties following appropriate training & competency

assessment. Core clinical duties to include:

▪ Diagnostic Semen Analysis & Semen Preparation for Treatment

▪ Oocyte Retrieval (Ovum Pick-ups) & Denudation

▪ Insemination, including ICSI / IVF

▪ Fertilization Check

▪ Cryopreservation Gamete / Embryo

▪ Culture dish preparation

▪ TESA/TESE/MESA/Micro TESE

▪ Media Aliquoting & preparation

▪ Monitor Embryo development

▪ Maintain Gamete viability during processing

▪ Timely lab microbial culture

▪ Assisted Hatching with Laser.

▪ Embryo Transfer

▪ (optional) Invasive Technique ( Embryo Biopsy ) for PGS / PGD

▪ Participate in laboratory maintenance tasks & assist in validation within the laboratory

▪ Assist in the management & maintenance of laboratory equipment

▪ Oversee the procurement of laboratory products & services

▪ Adhere to all standard operating procedures

▪ Meet laboratory Key Performance Indices for all critical laboratory tasks

▪ Participate in internal & external QA, & achieve a satisfactory level of performance

▪ Assist in the implementation of decisions concerning embryology department

Planning, Analysis & Reporting

▪ Plan own daily work flow in cooperation with other staff

▪ Contribute to planning of clinical work schedules

▪ Comply with regulatory requirements for documentation & recordkeeping.

▪ Document all laboratory information accurately in patients notes, both digitally & physically.

▪ Collect complete & accurate laboratory statistical data & report, as requested by the Head Office

▪ Embryo Grading & Selection for transfer / freezing / disposal

Communication & Co-operation

▪ Create a positive working environment & motivate & encourage other members of staff

▪ Communicate effectively & politely with patients & ensure information provided is correct

▪ Obtain patient consent as required by regulation

▪ Participate in meetings for the embryology staff & clinic-wide meetings.

▪ Build & maintain professional networks in order to assist recruitment & to develop a broad knowledge of

developments in the assisted reproduction field.

▪ Build good relationships with suppliers in order to ensure good service & to facilitate participation in trials.

Quality Management & Continuous improvement

▪ Ensure all procedures are carried out as per the SOP, & are compliant with the Policies on Universal

Protection, Biomedical Hazard & Infection Control.

▪ Conduct clinical audit & present the results to the senior staff.
