Job Description

Job Title: Senior Vice President - Human Resources


Location: Mumbai (work from office). Candidates looking for remote working or not comfortable with the job location need not apply.


Summary: He/she will play a pivotal role in shaping HR strategy and driving organizational success. He/she will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources, including talent acquisition, employee development, performance management, and compliance with labor regulations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience and a proven track record of leading HR initiatives in fast-paced environments in the Information Technology Organization , Banking , Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) sector.


Responsibilities:

  • The successful incumbent will play a critical role in managing the HR function and developing a high performing HR Team for the organization.
  • Create HR strategies and lead the performance management process.
  • Act as a Business Partner to the leadership team and work closely with business to achieve organization goals.
  • Create effective Employee Engagement initiatives and Leadership Coaching and development programs.
  • Design and launch of Talent Review, Competency framework and Career Paths for internal growth opportunities.
  • Representation and ensure proper documentation during Board and (NRC) Sub-Board meetings.
  • Putting right frameworks in place related to employee life cycle while keeping the compliance and the regulatory aspects in place.
  • Scaling-up of the organization and its capabilities through robust Talent Acquisition, Talent Management strategy, Culture Building, Learning & Development.
  • To facilitate the business in adequately managing its Human Resources and HR processes by partnering with them in all processes such as HR cost budgeting, manpower planning, Job Description, organization structuring, recruitment, performance management, and employees grievance management.
  • Strategize to develop Positive and Performance oriented work culture, ways to enhance teamwork including dealing with officers and staff at ground level across the organization.
  • Act as an advisor and coach to the senior management team on efficiency of overall work, compensation and benefits, litigation, early warning and organization issues.
  • To execute new and innovative ways of efficiently managing the manpower across and promoting talent within the organization through effective implementation of various programs, training and re-skilling, effective organization design, career planning and succession planning.
  • To identify opportunities to encourage talent movement and growth such that it promotes a culture of healthy competition performance and stickiness to the organization
  • Management of overall Headcount and HR related costs within reasonable limits and to optimally utilize the budgets available to maximize returns
  • Driving effective implementation of HR automation processes.

Education: Graduation in any stream. A masters degree in HR would be desirable.


Experience:

  • The candidate should have 20 plus years of HR experience from Information Technology, BFSI sector out of which 6 plus years as Head/VP/SVP role.
  • The candidate should have handled Organizational Development & Transformation, Employee Engagement Surveys and Compensation benchmarking etc.
  • The candidate should come from a structured and system/process driven organization with the ability to respond rapidly and creatively to problems and opportunities to devise solutions that address the business needs of the organization.
  • The person should have managed the HR function in a multi business environment; prior exposure to IT/Payment/Fintech setup with a manpower strength of minimum 700 plus.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Strong interpersonal, motivational and leadership skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize activities
  • Strong commercial skills, including business case development and budget management
  • Excellent people management skills, including team development, leadership, coaching and strong change management skills.
  • A confident, firm, and positive approach; comfortable while dealing with people at all levels in the organization

Certification:

SHRM-SCP (Society for Human Resource Management - Senior Certified Professional) / ICF (International Coaching Federation) Certification / NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) Certification / Executive Development Program from premier institute will be desirable.


Knowledge:

  • Proven expertise in strategic HR planning, change management, organisational development etc.
  • Familiarity with HRMS tools and HR Analytics.
  • Understanding of the Information Technology Domain , BFSI ecosystem, including regulatory and market trends.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strategic thinking/visioning Its essential to see one step ahead.
  • Sets high standards and goals Aspirational, leading by example.
  • Emotional Skills/Intelligence Ability to formulate expectation and provide solutions.
  • Communication - Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to convey business requirements and needs in a clear, concise, and effective manner.
  • Effective conflict management skills.
  • Comfortable in presenting & interacting with Senior Management and Board Members.
