Job Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist with 4-5 years of hands-on experience in data science, preferably within the fintech industry. The ideal candidate will have expertise in SQL, Python, and a strong ability to lead a small team in executing data-driven projects.

You will be responsible for building and maintaining data models, conducting advanced analytics, and working closely with cross-functional teams to drive strategic insights that impact key business objectives.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead and manage a small team of data scientists and analysts, ensuring high-quality project delivery.

- Work with large datasets to extract, clean, and analyze complex data, identifying trends, patterns, and actionable insights.

- Develop, test, and deploy machine learning models to solve business problems, optimizing processes and improving decision-making.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders to define data-driven strategies and deliver solutions aligned with business goals.

- Manage SQL databases and write complex queries to extract and manipulate data for analysis.

- Design and implement data pipelines, automating repetitive tasks and improving data workflows.

- Present findings and insights in a clear and concise manner to non-technical stakeholders.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science and fintech, continuously improving processes and methodologies.

- Contribute to the growth and development of junior team members through mentoring and knowledge sharing.

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.

- 4-5 years of hands-on experience in data science, with a proven track record of delivering data-driven solutions.

- Strong proficiency in Python and its libraries (e.g. , Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, etc.

- Expertise in SQL and database management (writing complex queries, data manipulation, etc.

- Experience with machine learning algorithms, data modeling, and statistical analysis.

- Strong understanding of data visualization tools and techniques.

- Proven ability to manage and mentor a small team of data scientists or analysts.

- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Previous experience in the fintech industry or financial services.

- Familiarity with big data tools (e.g. , Hadoop, Spark) and cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, etc.

- Knowledge of advanced machine learning techniques, such as deep learning or natural language processing (NLP).
