Position Overview: The Japanese Translator will be responsible for translating a variety of documents and materials from Japanese to English and vice versa. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of both languages and a keen understanding of cultural nuances to ensure accurate and culturally relevant translations. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Experience Required- 2+years of experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate documents, websites, and other materials from Japanese to English and English to Japanese with a high degree of accuracy.
• Review and edit translations for clarity, style, and consistency.
• Collaborate with project managers, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders to ensure all translations meet quality standards.
• Conduct research to understand specific terminology and context relevant to various projects.
• Maintain translation memory and glossaries to ensure consistency across translations.
• Stay updated on industry trends and language developments to enhance translation quality.
• Provide linguistic support in meetings or conferences as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional translation experience, specifically in Japanese-English translation.
• Native or near-native proficiency in Japanese and English.
• Strong understanding of cultural nuances and idiomatic expressions in both languages.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in translation software and tools (e.g., SDL Trados, MemoQ, etc.) is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high quality.

Location- Gurgaon

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in [specific industry, e.g., legal, technical, marketing] translation.
• Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
• Certification from a recognized translation body (e.g., ATA, JAT) is a plus.
