About the Job:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Chartered Accountant (CA) with 3-4 years of experience to join our team as a Financial Controller. This is a contractual opportunity to work on-site at our client's location in Bengaluru, providing critical support in accounting, financial reporting, and governance. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial records, compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and adherence to tax regulations. This role is focused on operational excellence and compliance, with no direct management decision-making responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting Process Review and Compliance:

- Conduct thorough reviews of all accounting processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with established policies and procedures.

- Identify and rectify any discrepancies or errors in financial data.

- Maintain robust internal controls to safeguard financial assets.

Financial Reporting and IFRS Compliance:

- Prepare and submit accurate and timely month-end reporting packs in USD, adhering to IFRS guidelines.

- Focus on the accurate recording and reporting of major IFRS transactions, particularly those related to property transactions and foreign exchange (forex) translations.

- Ensure all financial statements are prepared in accordance with applicable accounting standards.

Financial Governance:

- Oversee the governance of the finance function, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and best practices.

- Support the implementation and maintenance of financial policies and procedures.

- Support audit related activities.

Vendor and Employee Payments & Tax Compliance:

- Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor payments and employee reimbursements.

- Maintain meticulous records of all transactions.

- Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations, including TDS and GST.

- Ensure proper documentation is maintained for all tax related activities.

Documentation and Record Keeping:

- Maintain organized and accurate financial records and supporting documentation.

- Ensure proper filing and archiving of financial documents.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Educational Qualification:

- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).

Professional Experience:

- 3-4 years of relevant experience in accounting, financial reporting, and compliance.

- Proven track record of working in a similar role within the finance and accounting industry.

Technical Skills:

- Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), with specific expertise in property transactions and forex translations.

- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.

- Excellent understanding of tax laws and regulations.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
