ECM Technical Architect

The role of the Technical Architect is to design, develop and maintain the architecture of all the ECM IT systems including both internal and external applications developed based on the various technologies like Documentum, Mendix, Shopify etc.

The scope of this role is to maintain existing applications as well as design new applications.

Technical Competencies

• Experience in end to end software development and extensive programming knowledge
• Experience in translating complex business requirements, processes and systems into technical architecture blueprints
• Extensive experience in developing and maintaining workflow (Business Process) based applications
• Knowledge of Content Management Systems or similar (Documentum, Mendix etc)
• Experience in designing and implementing enterprise level product developments
• Experience in designing and implementing SOA
• Experience in providing strategic direction and roadmap for all products in collaboration with the technical product owners and management
• Knowledge of Cloud architecture (connectivity, security, deployment)
• Have excellent knowledge on Cloud Native approach, Cloud platforms and Strategies
• Instruct on how to use the Architecture
• Experience in CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Chef, Bamboo, Docker
• Assess/reviews Risk and Security implications of existing and future architectures/systems. - Awareness of latest technologies and trends
• Experience in creating and maintaining disaster recovery strategy for all types of applications - Experience in executing proof of concepts and propose solutions

Roles and Responsibilities

• Maintain, improvise and upgrading of existing Documentum systems [7.3, 16.4, 20.4 versions]
• Work with Senior Architect/s and the Governance Team to provide solutions related to Mendix and other technology and implementation choices
• Design, develop and maintain the architecture of the ECM IT systems landscape and interfaces with other internal and external systems
• Design, develop and maintain architectural documentation
• Translate product requirements into technical architecture, blue prints
• Ready to learn any new technologies
• Collaborate with 3rd parties and jointly design interfaces/APIs
• Create and maintain disaster recovery strategy for all ECM applications
• Define and ensure Project Quality and Best practices
• Advises on hosting requirements (Cloud like Mendix/Google/Amazon, On Premise)
• Advise product owners and development teams, where required, on technology choices, optimal systems architectures and ad hoc technical issues
• Provide strategic direction and roadmap for all products in collaboration with the Technical Product owners and management
• Drives Technical initiatives (globals calls and planning) together with Tech Leads and the team
• Involve Tech Leads or senior devs in important and/or strategy level discussions
• Regular catch-up with Tech Leads to share project updates and challenges
• Prepare and participate in Technical Audits
• Assess/ Review security of applications, codebase and all other important information
• Org contributions across business units in terms of architectural updates, initiatives and discussions
• Provide technical guidance to ECM Team members to help build tech pool within the ECM team.
• Work with Technical Product Owners and Enterprise Architects to implement architecture discipline to ensure that technical problems are mapped against business objectives and technology decisions are absolutely solid
• Works closely with Database engineers and DevOps engineers and be a active member of the PCM Architecture & Enablement
• Take architectural ownership of technical product roadmap for a number of products within the ECM roadmap
