Job Summary: We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Direct Tax Specialist to join our finance team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in TDS compliance and corporate tax regulations, ensuring our company meets all statutory obligations while optimizing our tax strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

TDS Management:

- Ensure timely and accurate deduction, deposit, and filing of TDS returns.

- Prepare and maintain TDS reconciliation statements and certificates.

- Liaise with stakeholders to gather necessary information for TDS compliance.

Corporate Tax Compliance:

- Oversee preparation and filing of corporate tax returns, including income tax and related forms.

- Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the company.

- Assist in tax audits and manage correspondence with tax authorities.

Tax Planning and Strategy:

- Analyze corporate transactions and develop tax-efficient strategies.

- Identify opportunities for tax savings and effective resource allocation.

- Collaborate with the finance team to align tax planning with overall business objectives.

Reporting and Documentation:

- Prepare detailed tax documentation and reports for internal and external stakeholders.

- Maintain comprehensive records of all tax-related transactions and communications.

Advisory Role:

- Provide guidance on tax implications for new business initiatives and projects.

- Educate and support other departments on tax-related matters.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field (master's degree or CPA preferred).

- 3 years of experience in direct tax, with a focus on TDS and corporate tax.

- Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations, including recent changes.

- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Excel.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
