Job Title: Deputy Manager - Finance
Job Summary:
- The Deputy Manager - Finance is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records and compliance with accounting standards, policies, and local regulations.
- This role includes preparing and reviewing financial reports, reconciling accounts, ensuring compliance with IFRS and Local GAAP, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency and quality in financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accounting and Reporting:
- Prepare and review journal entries, including recurring and allocation journal entries, with adequate supporting documentation.
- Ensure accurate financial information in compliance with Hyva's Accounting Policies (IFRS based) and Local GAAP.
- Submit timely and accurate financial data for group reporting through OneStream.
Reconciliation and Analysis:
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts on an ongoing basis and address discrepancies.
- Reconcile intercompany balances, identify discrepancies, and resolve root causes.
- Perform detailed account analysis to ensure the accuracy of journal entries and balances.
Process Improvement:
- Continuously improve accounting processes to enhance quality and efficiency.
- Establish and maintain work instructions to standardize and streamline procedures.
Compliance and Audit:
- Provide relevant information to both internal and external auditors as required.
- Ensure compliance with local tax laws, regulatory requirements, and other financial obligations (if no separate T&S role exists within the department).
Collaboration:
- Work closely with other departments and business control teams to maintain accurate records and provide accounting support.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Timeliness of reporting (OneStream and other regulatory submissions).
- Days required to complete Month-End closing.
- Identification and implementation of process improvements.
- Customer satisfaction with financial processes and support.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: Qualified Chartered Accountant.
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in accounting and financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, Local GAAP, and financial systems (OneStream).
- Proven ability to analyze and resolve complex financial discrepancies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across departments.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting tools.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
