About:
Performance Marketing Manager will be responsible for driving profit and revenue growth for our company's portfolio of direct-to-consumer (D2C) brand websites. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing e-commerce businesses with substantial year-over-year growth through effective consumer acquisition and retention strategies. This role requires a deep understanding of e-commerce sales drivers, a passion for user experience, and the ability to advocate for customer needs. The D2C E-commerce Manager will also serve as the primary source of insight on site traffic and merchandising performance, ensuring projects are delivered on-time, on-budget, and with high quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commercial Planning & Strategy: Develop and manage the commercial planning of all e-commerce business activities, working closely with cross-functional teams and external e-commerce agencies to unlock revenue and profit opportunities.
- Online Strategy & P&L Management: Oversee department-wide online e-commerce strategy and profit & loss entities to enhance the online shopper experience.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Consult with marketing and creative teams to develop comprehensive online business plans, establishing clear responsibilities and procedures to meet objectives.
- Industry Research & Trend Analysis: Research industry trends to identify opportunities for bridging gaps in business objectives and driving business growth.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain timely communication with stakeholders and business committees regarding project updates and business performance.
- Global Expansion Planning: Plan and execute the expansion of global online stores and related business activities.
- Conversion Rate Optimization: Develop and implement tests to improve conversion rates and drive revenue growth, owning the site conversion funnel.
- Data Analysis: Analyze site metrics and related data to identify opportunities for improving the customer experience and site performance.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor site performance, speed, traffic, and conversion rates across all device types.
- Collaborative Improvement: Work with marketing, operations, finance, sales, and customer service teams to drive e-commerce business success.
- Feature Enhancement: Evaluate and implement new payment solutions, customer communication tools, mobile solutions, merchandising tools, and other enhancements to improve the e-commerce experience.
- Advocacy: Advocate for the e-commerce business at all organizational levels, including senior leadership.
- Forecasting & Planning: Collaborate with marketing teams to establish and manage website forecasting, merchandising, project management, and planning.
- Brand Strategy Alignment: Build brand e-commerce strategies that align with company website strategies, ensuring all projects support brand growth targets.
- Performance Marketing Oversight: Partner with the Digital Marketing Manager to manage the online performance marketing budget and oversee the e-commerce agency team in monitoring channel performance.
- Project Management: Identify opportunities and prioritize workflow to maximize business growth, overseeing all project management related to the site.
Job Requirements:
- Experience: 5+ years of experience managing D2C brands (8-12 years of total work experience).
- Account Management: Exposure to account management is a plus.
- Customer-Centric Approach: Proven track record of prioritizing customer needs in an account management role.
- Operational Planning: Experience in preparing Annual Operating Plans and Sales Plans.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Presentation Skills: Excellent presentation skills and the ability to lead business review discussions with clients and brands.
- Technical Understanding: Knowledge of finance, warehousing, and IT operations.
- Leadership: Proven leadership skills with the ability to guide a team to deliver projects on time and within the scope of an overall client strategy.
- Solution Utilization: Ability to learn, understand, and recommend ways to utilize full suite solutions.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, unstructured environment within a rapidly growing industry.
- Goal-Oriented: Prioritize and execute tasks with a commitment to exceeding client goals.
